After about 30 years of service in different positions at the Ministry of Finance, Kenneth Mugambe tendered in his resignation early this year.
Mugambe was the Director Budget at the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development.
Finance Minister Matia Kasaija and Permanent Secretary to the Treasury Ramathan Ggoobi commended him for his service to the nation.
The Ministry officials noted that Mugambe choose to start his “early retirement from the civil service to pursue his PhD studies.” He has been away from the ministry activities since September last year.
Mugambe has 14 years of working experience in planning, public expenditure management, public sector budgeting, macroeconomic management, and public administration.

He has worked as Principal Economist responsible for the Budget Execution and Evaluation Section of the Budget Policy and Evaluation Department in the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development.
He was a member of a Task Force that developed the export competitiveness strategy for Uganda.
